Re: As the World Turns

Steve...coming from one of the best in the business, your words are appreciated. Way too much involved to go into here. I will send you an email. I think your addy is still in my book. Congrats on that fine finish........ya done me proud. You may not be able to teach an old dog new tricks, probably ...

2B...just for the record: you were the only person I mentioned the other website to. Jim was not aware of it that I know of, and he made it abundantly clear of what my options were, so he and I had no problem at all. We still don't. As for this site and this forum, I wish you all well. Nobody has be...

Re: Bassmasters Classic

I don't think Pete ever gets close enough to the rocks to be concerned about scratching up his sled. If I had a boat like his, I would spend a lot of time wiping and keeping it looking new. The old Express hasn't been abused, but it has some dock dings in the gelcoat...nothing of any consequence, bu...

Re: Sounds like you had fun CW... Thanks for the report...

Even if you don't catch a boatload of fish, any time spent on the water is better than mowing the yard or weeding the garden. We have possible rain predicted in the area tomorrow and Friday, so it might cool down for the weekend. Looks like our next trip will be up to Truman for wipers. If we're clo...

Re: Heading out.............

Ron...there was one boat way up on the north end of the Flats. From where we were, it appeared to be well out from shore, too. Every boat we saw was bank running like us.

Re: Heading out.............

We survived the Stockton trip.....it was amazing...the temperature surrounding the lake was well into the 80's at sunup. Down on the lake it was a wonderful 65 degrees and stayed that way all morning until we left. And if you believe that.....actually it wasn't too bad with the breeze that picked up...

Re: One of the Great Truths of Life.......

One load, one bullet, one point of impact....that's the name of the game. I think you will be happy with the 150 grain loads. Every major manufacturer makes good ones. You might give the polymer tipped bullets a try for varminting. Another option I completely forgot is the .30-06 sabot rounds...that...

Swamp Fox....I got some of one of our resident walleye professionals and two lovely ladies, but I am not up to speed on posting them. These would pass muster with JimDog. Maybe I can get one of our brighter guys to post them up after I get back from a little lake expedition. Glad you could join our ...

MM...are you now the "social facilitator" for El Presidente? That's what Vernon Jordan used to do for Bill Clinton, you know. Sorry you didn't get a check, but there's always next time. That's what I keep telling myself, anyway. I woke up about 1:15 and could not go back to sleep, so here ...

Genie In the Golf Bag

Two men went golfing. One man took his pipe out of his golf bag and asked the other one if he had a lighter. The other man pulled out a 12-inch Bic lighter and handed it to him. The first man said "Where did you get that?" The second man said, "From my genie." The man pulled a la...

I don't know as i am pretty good at reloading, but I'm still alive with all my parts after doing it for almost thirty years. There are plenty of "reloaders" who cannot make that same claim. There was some call for a reloading forum a while back, but it never came to be, so if anybody wants...

Lee...you're probably dead on correct...the crappie fishermen just go out, do their thing, come home and eat filets for supper. Several of the guys who were posting here caught walleyes on minnows as a by product of their crappie fishing. LIke you, I don't like to fight those big ol' white bass....w...

Meatman....THANKS FOR BRINGING UP THE LEECH QUESTION....it made me go out to check on mine....they live in two of those red plastic coffee containers with the snap lid left off. One of the containers that has Cabela's leech bedding in it was just beginning to dry out. The leeches were alive, but deh...

Re: Worst thing they ever did...

I change the water in mine every couple of weeks just to be on the safe side. Just make sure it it not chlorinated town water....pond or creek water is OK. Powerdive uses the biggest ones he can get, which is the jumbo size. The ones I got are large size. There are several internet sites that sell l...
