If the scales check out, the fish is absolutely a world record fish by weight alone. I don't think a foul hooked fish should count as a record for the angler, and shouldn't go in the books.
Several of the fish we caught were surprisingly shallow. I don't think they could have seen a grub up my way last weekend. It probably has cleared back up some now.

I do like the 5.0 for crankbaits. I tend to fish faster and faster and faster... Then I wonder why I haven't been bit in the last hour!
