I have been involved in this cafe for quite awhile and I knew better than to ask the question to the "waterfowlers". But, I thought I would try.

Would any of you waterfowl hunters be interested in offering an individual an occasional (free/pay) opportunity to hunt. I've only been waterfowl hunting twice in my life and I would like to try it again.

I fished the upper Grand last Thursday (at Truman) and caught 11 males. Fished the lower Osage on Friday and caught 12, half male and half females (none had red fins and the females still had firm eggs). Fished the big Tebo on Saturday and only caught 5 a couple of them still had eggs. I don't think...

I fished Berry Bend Saturday 4-8 PM and three of us caught 8 keeper crappie. We fished nearer Otter Creek Sunday 10 - 7 and caught 9 keepers. The coves where loaded with fish but, they had lockjaw. Still a week or two away from the spawn. ML1

Has anyone been to Truman lately?

I'm trying to decide whether or not to go up there Thursday - Sunday. The chance for rain doesn't bother me but, those who predict the wheather are calling for cooler temps on Friday and Saturday.
