Bobcat shelf display

Post by SAMCRO » March 26th, 2012, 8:45 am

Finally got around to finishing the final resting place of my bobcat mount. I was going to build a glass enclosure / coffee table, but decided against it. The designs I liked were not fully enclosed, and I needed it to be.

Ended up doing this in a corner of my cave. I like it.

All you thugs and ugly mugs dealing drugs and making noise,
You can kill each other all you want but if you touch my little boys,
You begging for this bullet will be the last thing that you say
before I let my dark side come out to play

That is not a very good picture. Post one up displaying the quality of that mount. Maybe the best I have ever seen. Cool place for sure.

You are correct. That is a quick snapshot with the Blackberry intended to show the shelf, not the cat, and as such, quality is sub-par. Here is a shot of the cat from my taxidermist's website:

Here is another shot he took before adding the base. The base was necessary, as the mount would not stay in position:

Thank you. I take most of the credit for the work.

It's to bad you couldn't get it facing out into the room. The work on the cats face is incredible, and should be shown off.

I could have done it a different way, but I wanted it like this. Standing over it, the cats face can be easily seen.

SC, that is one of the best mounts I have ever seen. The display is perfect. Nice job.

Agreed...by far the best bobcat mount I have ever seen. Looks like the only way to truly do it justice would be to put it on something that revolves.

But it was a long time ago, and it was just that one day.
