Probably the last couple of hours in the evening overlooking a standing cornfield. We'll have to see how it plays out. I don't plan on doing much early season hunting after the first week of bow season unless a good cold front comes through.

i usually don't hunt until mid Oct, and try to save my best spots until early Nov. i may give it a try a couple days in Sept, but you would have to drop everything and butcher the thing right away. also if you shot a decent buck openning day, you would have to wait almost 2 months to buck hunt again, which aint hardly worth it.

thats the down side to hunting Sept, i might shoot something and screw up the whole season, but doe tags are cheap, so who knows Image

I wish I had beans where I hunt, but this year I am limited to standing corn.

I'll only be out there in the evenings. Uncle quit growing corn, so I'll be hunting on the edge of the CRP. I have a great spot where they cross the ditch to get out there. Got trailcam pics back and had a decent buck 5 yards from my deerstand. Another spot where 2 narrow strips of woods meet. Won't hunt any other spot till late October.

Be hunting mornings and evenings, focusing on waterholes back in the brush. With the weather being that warm still, the bastards will be needing to drink a bit. I'll also focus on the first white oaks to drop their acorns, the deer should really be hitting them pretty hard then. Don't have any crops to focus on, but if we did, I'd be around between them and the bedding areas.

If they stay on their routine, there's gonna be a slaughter going on... Like I said before; 'Until I get tired of hauling their carcasses out.

That's all I got to say about that. Image

Not really, but better than last year. Not to worry, I can still thump a pretty good shed from time to time.

BB, I think it's the bow. What you need to do to take of your accuracy problem is buy a new bow...

and have I got a deal for you!

Always the salesman. Hopbiecat, you need to post that thing on Archerytalk.com. It may sell on there, lots more eyes to see it if nothing else. I'd be willing to post it for you if you are interested, I have really good feedback in there.
