I only had one chance and it was brushy with saplings. I guess the round got deflected. Then he ran a bit and stopped broadside with a clear shot. My empty ejected clean and the bolt on the m77 was locked down and all I got on the trigger pull was a click. The second round hung up in the magazine and did not load. I was looking at the deer when I closed the bolt. This is the worst thing that has ever happened during deer season. O well I guess that is why it is called hunting.

Put two does in the freezer. One with a bow one with a gun. I haven't seen any big bucks this year, all spikes and little six and eights, nothing worth wasting my any deer on. Maybe ML season will change my luck !!!!!
