The rain this week did result in the pick up we expected, but the continued cool tempratures made it short lived. Tuesday we had folks lined up on the banks and some nice fish caught, but the rest of the week has continued with pretty much the same old story as of late, tough fishing. The crappie continue to be fair with an occasional good day thrown in, evenings being the better time to fish. Whites continue fair along with walleye (which really should be hitting well, perhaps if the COE would remind them of this by kicking up the water flow we'd really see more action.) Catfish continue to bite well with lots of small ones and an occasional 20-30 pounder brought in this week. Looks to be a typical cloudy, cool Easter weekend in The Ozarks. We are on the edge of some great fishing if we just get a little more rain and a few warm days and nights to get that water temprature up a little. While they don't look for the warm up to happen this weekend, forecast for Mon. and Tues. looks to get the ball rolling with temps. around 70's. Enjoy your holiday and maybe throw in the the fishing gear just in case. Mother Nature is just full of surprises this time of year.
