Lake Wappapello

Post by PoisonSnake » March 30th, 2005, 1:51 pm

Saturday March 26. Caught between 100 and 150 crappie on jigs and nibbles (8 inches or less). 6 feet deep trolling on flats. Only kept 8 decent fish. The good ones were biting early and the day before, or so the story goes.

You or relatives? I was thinking of heading there Fri or Sat night, if I could find out water clarity.

Me and my dad. My dad caught the heck out of big ones the day before and the Saturday before. And, they were biting before 9am on that Saturday. But, we didn't get on the water until later. We were fishing over by the state park, put in at Redman. Water clarity down there was somewhat murky, but they did get some rain on Saturday nite/Sunday, so that probably clouded it up a bit. Don't know about up by Greenville, but I would think you would be OK if you were bowfishing.
