AA,
I was thinking of joining the MWAA but didn't think I could make the wing thing. I thought that was part of the meeting!! When is the next meeting? I may come then.
Wing Thing and Meeting
Re: Wing Thing and Meeting
Bill for us non-attenders, would you be so kind as to give us a run down on what he said about Stockton.

Steve....our house is draped in black, all the shades are drawn tight, and CW is in mourning....however, LSU got exactly what they deserved because Baylor just flat outplayed them. Since my first exposure to womens basketball was with the LA Tech Lady Techsters, and Kim Mulkey-Robertson was the assistant head coach, we were glad to see her win it all. She got a really raw deal from Tech when Leon Barmore, the legendary coach, retired in '99.
I would hope that the AD at Tech is having to answer some very hard questions from the board of Reageants this week.
Mark...the MWAA monthly meetings are always the first Thursday of the month. Seven pm at the Springfield Nature Center. Annual membership is only $500....you can give me the cash and I will take care of the rest.....seriously, it's only $25, and that includes a one years subscription to "Walleye Insider", so you can look at it as a free subcription, or a free membership. The "pre-meeting" at Hooters is usually around 5:30-ish and we drag ourselves away from titillating conversation with the Hooters girls with just enough time to make the MWAA meeting. I'm constantly amazed at how much those girls know about walleye fishing....they say the cutest things..like "Oh wow!", and "What's that thingie?" when you show them a bouncer or other piece of gear that happens to be on the table. CW is beginning to formulate a plan that involves a tournament where each contestant is paired up with an off-duty Hooter's girl for the day......maybe on Stockton later on in the year. All money raised could go to a suitable charity, and it would certainly be a memorable day on the water. In Florida, the Hooter's girls have softball teams that play the "old dudes" (have to be at least 75 to be on the team), and those are some really fun games to watch. Let CW think about this for a while......
Gary....young William is probably going to keep that information to himself as a reward for going to the meeting last night. Now that the spawn on Stockton is pretty much concluded, the fish are going to return to their usual hangouts, and the once-a-year guys who go out to grab a few fillets when the walleyes are easier to catch will be back after crappie and bass. Flats and points.....spinner rigs and deep trolled cranks, and maybe even a few jigging spoons if you can find them deep.

Re: Wing Thing and Meeting
You think I am kidding about this????? The area walleye guys could hoook up with a worthy cause, enlist the aid of the Hooter's girls, and make a ton of money off the entry fees....the "reward" would be the quality time spent with a pleasant companion, and perhaps a kid who never would otherwise get to go fishing....yaddah, yaddah....anything they do in Florida, we can do better here. Sorry, Mr. Carroll....the "official" photo sessions will be in my basement when Hausfrau is away for a day or two..........of course, the admission fee to observe would be quite reasonable.
