New Blood
I am oficially resigning my position as Vice-President of the MWAA this month. I am firmly behind the choice of AA as my replacement if he is willing to take the position, we will have an election at the Aug meeting. I will continue to work with the MWAA as special Events Chairman and as a member of the tournament commitee. As with most of us time is a very valuable commodity with me and I didn't feel I was able to really devote enough time to properly do both jobs. I hope now to be able to devote what time I have to planning things such as Trips,Seminars, outings ECT. I also feel like it's time to get some new blood into the running of the club and Bill will be an excellent choice, he has already proven himself a great ambassador for the club and for walleye fishing in Missouri.
Re: New Blood
I vote for AA--he'll be great. Oh wait, it's not August yet.

Re: New Blood
'eyerus,
Just wanted to say thanks to you and Bev for the work and time spent while you were VP!!!!
I'm sure AA would be a great VP.

XTC, don't be telling him what a great job he did. I thought we agreed to keep that quiet.
(You really have been the biggest reason for MWAA's success, Lee. Nice work for sure!)

Re: New Blood
Having talked to both parties about this, I feel that Lee is stepping down for the "right reasons", which don't really involve MWAA other than the time element. When the decision was announced a few weeks back, I was first in shock to see a super Veep stepping down, then thoughts turned to who could replace him.....well, there's nobody who can "replace" walleyesrus, but the man of choice to be the new VP was pretty much unanimous...so when the August meeting rolls around, those in attendance will have a chance to elect that trolling man, Slick Willie Ackermann to fill the vacancy. He's had my vote since the opening was announced. The down side of this whole deal is that now Lee will be out there in the new boat, with more time to concentrate on walleye fishing. Oh well....another name to add to the growing list of guys who take CW's money.....
My personal congratulations to both men....MWAA won't lose a step during the transition.

Re: New Blood
OK, we got all that out of the way. Can we go back to bashing Walleyesrus like we normally do?

Re: New Blood
By the way, on a serious note. The guy who taught a lot of us how to catch walleyes around here, John Estes--my illustrious partner--is not feeling well, and is about to have another cardio procedure. Let's hope they can get away with doing an angioplasty and not have to go the open-heart route. If all goes well, he thinks he'll be able to fish the Stockton tourney. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

Re: New Blood
OK...the kudos are out of the way...we can get back to trashing walleyerus any time now.
Sorry to hear about John's problem. It just would not be the same without his never ending smile.....(just kidding).
The really scary part is that CW is not all that far behind John in years, and my turn will come all too soon. Bummer.
BTW, the WalMart supercenter store up here has two whole aisles of nothing but walleye stuff....Lindy, Little Joe, Producers, almost any walleye crankbait ever made by any company....they got 'em on the shelves. Everything except a #5 Shadrap in goldfish.....Johnnie Candle had a small supply of them down on Bull Shoals, and they were deadly. Apparently he is in tight with the factory and the ones he has are the only ones ever made......arrrrrrrrgh!
Give my best wishes for a speedy recovery to John. There's already too few of us crusty ol' farts around to keep you young whippersnappers in line....

Re: New Blood
Sorry to hear about John. I also have to take my Dad in for another cardio procedure Tuesday morning. Something about Norfolk, last time he had to go in I had to cut short my striper fishing trip on Norfolk.

Re: New Blood
Guys,
The Gold Fish colored Shad Raps are available at Scheels All Sports. The closest one to you would be Omaha, NE. You can reach them through the web at www.scheels.com
Call any of the stores and they can ship directly to you. If you have any problems, let me know and I will help all I can. Gold Fish is available in #5 and #7 Shad Raps and is exclusive to Scheels stores.
Best of luck, and it is the lure that caught the Big One AA is holdong in the pictures.
