Thank you for the information. It is greatly appreciated.
I am really looking forward to heading down there Thursday. Just look for the red & white Ranger 619 at the Lake Norfork Inn. It should be parked in front of the room with all the empty Canadian beer bottles!
Anyone know of a good bait shop? I doubt minnows would survive transport from St. Louis to there.

Re: Norfork Schedule????
I have used Cranfield Junction Quick Shop (Phillips 66) at 4651 Highway 62 East. That would be across the bridge west towards Mountain Home coming from Lake Norfolk Inn. I have used them in the past and they always had a good supply of shiners and lots of various tackle.
They also provide the weekly fishing report for Norfolk given out by Arkansas Game and Fish.
I believe they may also be one of the sponsors for this tourney.
I assume Lake Norfolk Marina also sells minnows, but have never been there and believe they may also be a tourney sponor.
Paperboy and I are headed out a 6am in the morning. We prolly wont have much of a headstart as far as finding fish, but we sure will have a headstart on the SUNBURN! Supposed to be in the high ninetys the rest of the week down there so don't forget the sunscreen and lots of water!

Re: Norfork Schedule????
darmstadter....maybe I'm reading your post wrong...but you will have to have your boat in the "blast off area" just outside the State Park marina harbor with all the other participants. You will be given a number on a piece of paper and can't take off to your first hole until the starter calls your number. There is also a livewell check to make sure no "pretournament walleyes" are accidentally left there to be weighed in. Doc is the official livewell checker, and from what Pat Fisher said, he can check your boat in a stall at the marina, or you can have it checked before you launch. There will be traffic control so the ramp stays orderly and they will get you fixed up.
The Friday night meeting is to go over details, pass out blastoff numbers, and to listen to all the disinformation that will be floating around. If you have your boat in the water by 6 or 6:15 Saturday morning, you should be OK. Just mill around with the rest of the guys and Steve Johnson will make final announcements over his bull horn. There will be enough "socializing" Friday night so that Saturday morning will be a piece of cake. The main get together will be at ReelXTC's place called "The Tree House", and it is within walking distance of where you are staying. Just head down the hill on the blacktop road (not the 215 Hwy out in front of your motel), turn in the first street on the right and look for the mob at the 3rd house on the left.
Gary is frying up some fish, I am bringing a smoked brisket, and any other food donations will be gladly welcomed. Chips, 'tater salad, etc. A few bags of ice would be welcome, too.
