Hey, Scott....good to hear you are still kicking and ticking. The walleye forum has grown so much in the past two or three months it's hard to keep track of everybody.
If the medics cut you loose to fish Stockton, you can set up a folding chair in the boat and let Regina drive. You can relax in the easy chair and watch the planer boards. Marty and I will probably be somewhere close by, and if you hook into another monster we would be more than glad to come over, net the fish, and hold it until weigh-in for you.
PD and those other guys would never volunteer to be so helpful, but Team Table Rock is known for our creative ways to assist fellow competitors. In the mentime, do what the doc says, and we'll be looking for your return ASAP.

Scott, that's great. Pat's right, you're kind of a fixture in this thing--but don't push too hard. Really hope to see you there! Will pass your good wishes on to John. Stay cool and build up your strength...

To those who don't know him, Scott is neither an old man nor a big man--in fact, he's the last person I'd have ever thought would experience heart trouble. These days it can catch up with any of us, I guess.

I was gonna put up a wise-type remark, but that would be like the pot calling the kettle black. BTW, how is the high carb, high alcohol, low sex diet going? Inquiring minds want to know.

The doc,s will find something to blame it on, heck I haven't drank in 20 years and I'm faithful to my wife, I don't over eat and I try to work out a little but guess what......I've smoked for 30 years and thats what their hanging their hat on. Well, I'll try it their way,I've put the smokes down, I can't wait to see what the next vice is I shouldn't do...maybe it will be work....ha

PD....read and heed! Put the smokes down and leave them down. If you don't, the next trip in to St. John's might not be so pleasant.

I donated half of a lung to the habit, and I think the bottom line is, if you live long enough they'll kill you. Image

HB...back in my younger days (right after the Civil War), it was considered "in" to smoke. I tried several times to start, but it always gave me a headache and left me feeling groggy. My wife was a smoker when we met in college and continued the habit for nearly forty years, then quit cold turkey going on five years ago. My never ending allergies have gone way down, the car doesn't smell bad, and all the bad stuff from second hand smoke in the house is no longer there. I fear what is going to get me is this new stuff they make belts from....you buy a brand new belt, and a couple of months later it starts shrinking. If you don't go get a new one, the old one will eventually strangle you around the midsection. Must be a plot by the Chinese suppliers of WalMart. Image

Scottie, Steve J. here. I heard you had Open Heart Surgery. How are you doing? I hope you are fine. I hated to hear that, but sometimes we have to do what they tell us to do or else. I hope you can get back in the swing of things by September. If not, then next year. We had a GOOD tourney at Norfork, but there were a lot of fish killed due to the heat. I hope to get the scheduling rearranged next year to where we don't deal with this kind of thing again. Talk to you later. Tell Regina I said hello.
