June Member of the Month

Post by coyotewhacker » July 10th, 2005, 10:15 pm

Just got back from the Stockton event. Let's just say that CW did not have a memorable weekend, but did score a walleye on day two. It was a very successful tournament, and I think everybody had a great time. Other than a dead outboard on the Express, (DEAD this time...it's coming off and will be replaced by something with a glossy black cowling....no more OMC stuff), two broken Wally Marshall rods, a nasty gash in my right hand obtained while trying to warn PD that his boat was still hooked to the trailer, therefore would not launch, and being pitched backwards out of my pedestal seat five times today with only a possible chipped bone in my left elbow, it was a very enjoyable weekend.
Before announcing the latest M.O.M., I would like to thank ReelXTC for the hospitality, the outstanding chow, and the never ending parade of adult malt beverages, and to my good bud, TableRock for buying my raffle tickets in the block immediately behind the dozen or so winners that were in his block of tickets. So....as you all know, only CW has the full scope of requirements for this particular honor. However, this month's recipient has many traits that are befitting a member of the month. He has freely given of his knowledge to even the least informed around here (that would be CW), he has posed interesting and thought provoking questions that elicit answers from the sublime to the really stupid, and he has supported walleye fishing to an extent that almost cannot be measured. I almost said that he was without faults, but I remember that upper midwest thing. One small imperfection in an otherwise super guy package can be overlooked in this Member of the Month:
our very own Mike Alley, otherwise known as Powerdive.
Congratulations, PD. We truly appreciate all that you do for this walleye forum, for the state walleye fishing association, and for walleye fishing in general. Image Image Image

Congrats to Powerdive. A truely deserving walleye fisherman.

Had a great weekend. Thanks to ReelXTC for opening his home and the great hospitality and food. Really enjoyed hanging around with everyone involved this weekend.

My first Walleye tournament was a great success. 4 fish on Day 1 and 6 fish on Day 2. The format was a lot of fun and as with CW's raffle tickets the ones I had did not deliver either. Image

TR knows I was just pulling his leg a bit. I was glad to see "one of the family" have some great returns on the raffle tickets. I got back more in goodies than the money spent. Life is good!

Shucks, folks, I'm speechless. Thanks, CW!

And my tickets didn't hit either, except for one small quality item that I really and truly needed--a Blakemore Electro-Carve knife.

Congrats to PD! A very deserving walleyer.

I also enjoyed the weekend. Thanks to REELXTC. Enjoyed the get together. Great to put faces with screen names and screen names with real names.

No luck on my all my raffle tickets either but the two my daughter got won her a tacklebox which she was very happy with. Image

Looking forward to the next get together. Image

CW was trying to keep the payment for the M.O.M. a little secret...cash only, or PayPal...no checks. However, in this particular instance, I was just a wee bit in hock to the recipient, so there was no actual money exchanged.......
