He said it scored 149" officially. I haven't seen the scoresheet. My deer netted 137 5/8" so I threw the darn scoresheet in the trash.

Chit, I'm not convinced he's not in on the same deal. I mean we have people here actually bragging about gross score, and probably adding a bit to that too! Image

Leave the boasting and the over-estimations to the fisherman, good hunters shouldn't have to resort that level of misinformation.

PS- 137 5/8" is a darn good deer. You should hook up with Shawn, maybe borrow another 2.5" of antlertip from the extra he has laying around. Don't forget to ask what type of glue he uses. Oh heck, just buy a mold and some plaster, fix it up yourself. Plaster is practically harmless, so you should get by just fine.

I'll fudge the numbers on fish a little from time to time (it's been a while honestly), but for rack scores....that is just to serious of a topic to not get it right imo.

Ok.... Jello displacement, screw the euro-trash! I thought the B&C system was european based? Let's go back to the basics, ***************
{any adjective you want} + 8 point, 10 point, 12 point, 14, do I need to keep goin', ect. Should be good enough.

Could anyone even begin to estimate a buck by volume?

I mean it even sounds stupid.

"that there buck would score two pints."

"heck no it wouldn't, It's at least a quart and a half!"

"Bull crap, look at that thing, he aint over two and a quater pints at best."

See how dumb that would be.

Well, what made that rack score like it did was the fact that all 10" of deductions were off of the left mainbeam. Like I said, initially, I thought it was a good 8 pointer when it was walking sideways to me. I shot it, and never bothered to walk up to it and finish it off or whatever. Unloaded my rifle, and continued to chew tobacco and scope him out from time to time. Then, I decided to walk off and the darn thing took off running. Then, when I finally caught up with it after the rundown, I got a good look at the right side and was really freaking out. Then, after 2 more shots, I ran buy him again at full throttle I guess. darn thing had to be laying less than 10 yards of where I went through.
