Anglers the last couple of weeks have tapered in number with the blistering heat. The water continues to run a bit out the one gate to oxygenate the river, and the turbines are on some in the real heat of the afternoon. A few whites and hybrids reported. Again, the hybrids surfaceing in the mornings and evenings, but only occasionally coming down below the bouys. Spoons seem to be best as of recent. Crappie hitting fair to good. Still lots of small ones. Catfish have been biting fairly well in the afternoon and several big fish reported by the late night fishermen (20-45 lbs). Overall, pretty good fishin' and they are saying we'll get a slight reprieve from the heat in the next few days as a front moves in.
