Father passed Sat.

Post by Swampbird » September 27th, 2005, 10:11 pm

Here is the obituary for my Father who passed Saturday, after becoming almost bed-ridden due to inability to swallow food/liquid. The flap that covers the windpipe when swallowing wouldn't close and he'd had a tube into his stomach for feeding and just grew weaker with time.
He stated that he didn't want to go back to the hospital and if anything happened, not to try and revive him; he was ready to go home. He died peacefully and is now without pain....

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church, 827 Wildwood Ave., Columbia, SC 29203.
...I'd like to go to heaven, but I've gotten use to hanging with this crowd...
