There is still a chance to do it today.

This season is the most absurd decision by the MDC to date. With the telecheck system now in place, the antlerless seasons are nothing more than an open door for dishonesty.

That is exactly what I argued when they instituted the call in checking system. Unlimited doe tags for poachers to keep hunting, and if you can tell doe meat in the freeser from buck meat then you're better than I. Hide the rack for a few months, and you're home free.

Just too much leaway imo.

Re: Anyone hunt the Urban season?
I heard quite a bit of shooting yesterday. What really surprises me is the fact that these dudes are willing to lay down their bow to whack one with a .270. Some folks don't bowhunt and that is fine and dandy. Some folks take their kids on these hunts and that is good too. But, a select few, you can bet, whacked some good deer this weekend. Anymore, the MDC may as well have rifle season running from June 1 until December 31. They should allow spotlights, poison darts, helicopters, etc... to kill deer. Any fornicating method you wish to use to kill an animal should be legal. Also, why limit it to just deer? heck, allow the harvest of elk, bison, small children, etc... to be legal as well.

Where it is really needed, you can't shoot guns anyway, as in KC city limits.
Also crossbows are legal durring this season as well. Nothing but ethics stopping a guys from whacking a buck and tagging it as a bow kill, same for rifles though.
I took some family to Missouri Town yesterday, an 1850's type settlement in Jackson Co. The saplings that were planted amongst the settlement all had rubs on them from the deer. Those folks hated deer, but there was nothing to be done about it, just live with it and accept the damage.

Went bowhunting over the weekend, saw over 30, and there were guys gun hunting the clover field. They have permission to hunt the farm so it wouldn't have bothered me except the fact that the farm is in Callaway county. Callaway is not one of the counties for that season. Didn't have my phone on me Saturday, tried calling game thief Sunday but nobody would answer. I know what the vehicle is so if I ever see it around I'll try the game thief again. Also, as I was walking to my stand Saturday morning, I saw a vehicle driving through the clover field. It was 5:30 and pleny dark so you know they were spotlighting. Never heard any shots.

I hunt in Saint Louis Co. The property owners like deer to die. There is truely an abundance of critters. I bow hunted the first three days with my brother while he took his Browning 270. He was unsuccessful. I went out yesterday with the 50 cal. thunderstick. I was fortunate enough to put a shot on a nice doe at 9:00 a.m. Property owners are happy, I am happy, family resupplied with protein. Doe, not so happy.
