Where did everyone go

It's hard to learn about walleye fishing if no one shows up anymore. Image

Many of the guys left this summer for the Lake Stockton forum.....some of them showed back up a couple weeks ago but have been quiet since.

I'll talk walleyes if someone else wants to....but I'm not in the MWAA, PWT, or any organized group like that.

Pretty much everyone went to Lakestockton.com. For the most part, I quit posting on this site, as the number of pric'ks that were on the waterfowl forum were more than I care to deal with.

Hope you get into some 'eyes GSD

PWT is the "Professional Walleye Trail"- it's a professional walleye fishing cicuit similar to "B.A.S.S. Masters".

MWAA is the "Missouri Walleye Anglers Association". Their website is down, or I would give you the link. Many of the guys on that Lake Stockton forum are members. I think they're based in Springfield from what I gather.

If you need more information about either of those, I would post over there. many of the are MWAA members, and several of those guys are on the PWT circuit. I'm just a plain old fisherman and am not a member of either organization.

Tigerhaze, you don't have to be a MWAA member to post there, in fact there are a few people that post on lakestockton.com that are not MWAA members. Just a good forum for walleye discussions.

Or you can ask the guys that are still here. I would love to try and answer your questions. I fish for eyes only and fish every week usually . Most of the time 2 or three times in the warmer weather. Image

Hey MM-

I wasn't sure if any of ya'll were still logging on over here or not. I just wanted to steer GSD in the right directionand let him know that I am not a walleye expert. I like fishing for them, but the techniques I use aren't exclusive to them and I catch a number of other species as well including white bass, hybrids, and catfish.

I pop in at that site from time to time to read some of the fishing technique posts. I'm already involved in posting on a half-dozen other sites so I don't plan to start there.

If you all want to discuss some walleye fishing here, I'm all for it.

MM is the low water causing your normal honey holes to disappear?

I have heard of bass guys catching them that way. This time of year the best baits to use in my opionion is spoons , and also lead head jigs tipped with a shinner. I was bull headed tuesday , I trolled cranks almost all day caught 3 walleye but it was slow going. At 3 pm I tied on a spoon and sit over the top of a brush pile and did very well. In about an hour a pulled out 3 walleye 9 crappie and 7 bass out of 3 different brush piles in 32 ft of water. If I had some shiners I would proably done even better. The main thing right now is to slow down your presitation. The fish for me anyway like it slow when the water temp gets below 50 degrees. I am going to go back sunday morning if it is not raining. I give a report sunday late.

My brother was supposed to come down here this month, but he is in love, so that did not happen....He is talking about January or February now.

Have you been on Greer's? I would like to get down there in late January/early Feb.
