I know of a solitary ash tree on a S. facing hill that overlooks the Mo. river in St. Chuck. co. It ain't a sack fillin' spot, but it's the most reliable morel barometer I have.
I just picked 2 yellows about 4" tall. They had been there at least a day. It ain't too early to check the bottoms, or a S. facin' hill.

Fresh ground Italian/Bambi sausage, morels sauteed in butter, and a bigassed salad.............. it's what's for dinner on this fine April day.
