When you make life changes as I have done lately. Work your off every GD day. Chaos everywhere. Push, push, push, rush, rush, rush. I would drive to alaska to have one day in the woods to kill something. Ain't no bird to far, or safe from the tenacity I have to do this stuff. I am not a gazzillionair and do not have a HFA or birds in my back yard like dave. I can round up some gas money though, and their will be some killin done.

The HFA doesn't have any turkeys. I have a few places just as close as the HFA, but that one turkey has me pissed off. BTW, I am a gazillionaire and the reasons I'm not driving across the river is because I'm hoping to remain that way.

BTW, I was thinking this morning about truly being a gazillionaire and how if I were where it is I would hunt. The thought passed pretty quickly and I hurried on back to work.

2b, you should have seen the struttin' mofo in the yard this morning. Honestly, he's a fugging toad. LA let the cat out as they were working their way through the yard and spooked 'em. Could have been my easiest season ever, but what's the fun in that?

It has been many years since I have shot one from the window. Not that I haven't considered it once or twice though.

The one that is going around right now is that I have killed 20 some this year. Since I'm building a house, I'm selling the heads for $6 a pop to a taxidermist. We are teaching a fellow a lesson of sorts. I figure he is pissed right now and he'll be even moreso when he hears he has been had.

Well, I drove a pretty danm long way to hunt. ( 4 hrs. ) Partly because I hoped to find a pile of morels.

I won't be thinkin' about the drive when I'm eating shrooms this Winter.

Thw weather in Grundy co. was forkin' miserable, just like most other places. Killed a bird Sun. morning at 6:40, picked several pounds of shrooms, and caught about 50 bass from 1 to 4 lbs. on Sat. afternoon.

Oh yeah, I had yet to make a call, and the bird came in quiet,across a field of corn stubble. He was sneakin' up on the decoy.
1" spurs, and 11" beard. I don't have a clue what he weighed, and I really don't care.
