Been hearing lots of hype about this power outage situation. Some hospitals over there have been calling for relief nurses. Several from my hospital went over to help out.

Everyone doing okay... that can read this... that is?

My house never lost power (underground utilities) , but almost everyone else in my family did. I think far north and far south St. Louis got it the worst.

I went to Happy Hour last Friday and you could really tell who had power and who didn't .

AmerenUE should be forced to trim the trees around the poles or else have a plan for replacing the old poles with underground installation.

My parents in North (STL) County had their power meter ripped right off the house by a downed tree. They had to hire a private electrician to fix since the damage was on the meter side, even though the damage was caused by a tree over the main power feed.

Our power was out for like 5 minutes. We have underground utilities which are a blessing in storms like this.

Head on over LA you can stay at our house if you like. They are saying some people will be out the rest of this week still.

We lost power lasr Fri. for about 8 hours. The Wed. storm didn't faze us, but I'm told that the Fri. deal was much worse here in St. Chuck county.

That's out longest outage in the 12 years we've lived here. And yeah, we also have underground utilities.

Still over 200,000 folks with no power. That's a lot of rotting edibles.

I heard a little while ago that Bush has declared this a disaster area. FEMA is on the way.......... all wrongs are soon to be corrected.

No power for 38 hours, but all our vittles are O.K. Our A/C is not O.K. though, having a post fried right off the compressor. The repair dude is coming over tomorrow.

We were lucky. No power outage at our house, but my parents and sister were out for a few days. It's been crowded around here. Everything is back to normal now.

I was out of power from Wed. till late Sat. I didn't mind the heat to much. When your bidness is sitting still with deadlines looming, not fun. Try telling a huge "Harley" guy that his beloved dresser tank will not be customized until the power comes on. He ended up not having a problem with it, but I had not missed a deadline since '92 when I started this stuff. That was honestly the hardest part. When you see neighbors with trees on their house, you can't hardly feel sorry for yourself. Still alot of debris everywhere.

WTH you do Counts? I thought your primary bidness was screen printing....and such. You do custom airbrushing too?

I have airbrushed since '86 at Six Flags. As a bidness, screenprinting is a relatively competitive field. So, I started custom airbrushing again about a year and a half ago to make more money. I get about $1500 for a tank, and about $350 per fender. We now custom airbrush for Old School Choppers in downtown STL., Phat Freddie, and soon Widman Cycles. Not to mention freelance for anyone that wants it. Check my website in the portfolio section for some older samples.
