I know where a 160" lives

Post by hunting170 » July 27th, 2006, 4:01 pm

Anyone seeing any good bucks yet? I`ve seen a 160+ 10 pt twice. He lives behind my girlfriends dad`s place. The second time I saw him I had already seen two good bucks, along with a goofy looking non-typical (I`ve already named him Snowflake) just up the road, on the backside of his property. Saw a real nice 8 pt in a bean field by the parking lot at work, about three weeks ago. Saw three nice ones, including a very good 8 pt, 1/4 mile from the house this evening. I guess I need to get my trail cameras out. This is shaping up to be a good year.
One day, long, long ago, there lived a woman who did not whine, nag, or bitch.
But it was a long time ago, and it was just that one day.

I've seen a couple, but nothing like in years past. Last summers shooting spree has taken its toll on our deer for some time. I haven't been out much, however.

I've only seen one tall 8pt, and he's pretty good. I know there are others out there though.

Seen a bunch of little turds at the parent's place. Nothing good yet. Saw a group of 3 probable 110-120 class 8 pointers walking down the creek I was fishing a couple of weeks ago in an undisclosed location. Not huge, but they walked all the way up to within 50 yards of me, and had no idea I was chest deep in the creek. That was pretty cool, plus it was 2:00 in the afternoon and hotter than heck. They walked about 75 yards right down the middle of the creek right to the end of a shallow gravel bar then shot up the side and ended up passing by at 20 yards up in the tall grass. That's about it so far, but I haven't really been out looking other than that!
