Turn a guy in for baiting?

Post by Warmouth » September 27th, 2006, 5:34 pm

Would you do it if it was property that you didn't hunt on?

It depends upon who the guy was. There is a fellow I know, I would turn him in right now for looking cross-eyed if I had the chance. But, 2Tall, I would let him slide.

I say burn em. Put in the work and make some food plots that can help support the herd through the winter if you want something to draw them.

Drop a dime on him.

With my luck, no. I'd turn them in and I would end up getting charged with trespassing.

That is a loaded question the more I think of it. Chit, Wally World and many outdoor shops has bags of corn and feeders on sale around deer season. Heck, even bags of apples are set up for sale in some places. Everyone knows darn well what it will be used for.

That's like asking if I'd call in the plates of every jackarse I see loading up their trucks with such at the start of the season. You have all seen it, how many of you just grumble under your breath and keep walking?

There has been a conflict over who has hunting rights on the property behind my yard. Long story short, the nephew cop got my permission revoked from his uncle the owner. The nephew cop baits, and that is part of the reason he doesn't want me there, I know he's breaking the rules.

If I tuned him in, it would strictly be a "sour grapes" type retaliation.

Just to ease your mind about my hunting opportunities, I have found 3 other places to hunt locally, and am working on a terrific spot 1/2 mile up the road, but may or may not get it. So far, nothing looks as good as the property behind the yard, but I've already passed shots at deer this year from one of the other places, so I can't complain, much.

So what I am hearing you say is instead of shooting them off the front porch, you may have to shoot them out the bedroom window? That is a shame though...I have a similar place to hunt that is not very far from the house, and the piece of property has been bought for a new subdivision to go up but last thing I heard it was in bankruptcy, so I still have it, but who knows for how long.
