Turkeys in the snow

Taken by my dad on the family farm in Greene Co., IL. He was wearing blue jeans and a black Carhart jacket. He looked out in the field & saw 38 turkeys way out there. He squatted into a ditch and let them walk up to him, taking a lot of pictures on the way. As you can see, they got pretty close.

I'm trying to get him to take up turkey hunting. I'm applying for an IL turkey tag for Spring '07 and hoping he will be going, too. If nothing else, he can be our photographer.

BTW, the camera was a Sony Cybershot of some sort, in case anyone's interested.

Great pics. I agree the second is wonderful. It's worth framing or perhaps wallets.

Sheeit, those pics are pretty freaking awesome and all, but if I am going to spend that kind of money for something to put on the wall, it is going to be one of Great White Hunter's art pieces fo sho!!!
