I don't disagree- at the very least they should be co-champions.

This will never be settled until the university presidents and comissioners get their heads out of their s and agree to a playoff system, even if it is limited to the top 4 teams.

Aint gonna happen as long as the BCS is making millions, he colleges are making millions, and the coaches are making millions.....Just look at the contract that Sabin signed, they couldnt afford that salary if there was lack of money....The only ones who did not make money at last nights game were the players...Just think the college made money by selling a jersey with a players name on it...

I think they are precluded by the NCAA from using player's names; if you ever look at the NCAA video games for PlayStation or XBox they don't have any player names, just numbers.



Unfortunately it's all about the Benjamins; if you look at the article about Delaney I posted yesterday it is very obvious that they are only interested in how much money they can reap for the universities. I don't see that trend changing with the reduced public funding for the universities from the states.

Until we have a playoff system set up we will have crap like this happen every year.....

Boise should take some of the twinkie teams off their schedule and play better teams. I think they could beat some.

You should look at their schedule; I'm not saying they are all tough teams but Boise State beat Oregon State soundly- the same Oregon State team that beat Mizzou in the SunBowl.

I don't think many people would consider Hawaii (another bowl participant) a twinkie team either.



The Broncos scored 40+ points in probably 3/4 of their games this season.

Your right, I didn't say they didn't play any good teams.
The bad thing is all the twinkies are in their own conference. So you have to give them credit for going out and scheduling some tough opponents. Just don't think they have earned or deserve a co-championship just by going undefeated. How would have they faired if they had to play in the SEC?

I'd rather see a playoff system and prove that Florida is unstoppable; unfortunately the university bean counters don't care about sports fans.

The only decent teams they played were Oregon State, Hawaii, and then OU in the bowl. I can't give them props for an undefeated season like that. heck, Mizzou or would've had a shot at goin undefeated gainst that schedule... you reckon they deserve to be Champs??!



IMO just the fact that they beat Ohio State the way that they did should give Florida the Championship by a landslide!

Boise State does not have an opportunity to play the big dogs (the big dogs usually want cupcake Div I-AA teams in beginning of season), so how are they supposed to play big-time opponents other than those in their conference unless there is a playoff system?

Also, naming Boise State co-champions would be a good way to protest the current BCS system. Boise State did get a first place vote in the AP poll.

Can you imagine if they would have been named co-champions? I think the university president at Florida was already fired up at Delaney for not implementing a playoff system; I think that would have totally set him off!
