One for the Freezer

Post by BornBad » November 16th, 2009, 10:32 am

One to go. Nothing eventful, nice tender youngling walked down the ridge early Sunday morning to grace me and my family with lots venison burger. I grounded up everything but the back-straps.

Good to hear. I put two does down over the weekend myself and am in the process of packaging them up for the freezer. I think I am going to make roasts and some jerky as well as some burger.

thumb2:

Roast does not move from my freezer that fast, not nearly as fast as burger does. What roast I do package up usually ends up as jerky down the road. I hope to down a doe this weekend for some roast/jerky meat.
