Yea with all them lil seed ticks it's a blast

.
Didn't say I got to shoot 60 of em to make up one turkey

. If you hunted every day and limited out every day for just one zone the max you could not including coots

would be 360 at a solid 6 duck limit. Then there's the occasional goose that happens to fly thru

. However I managed to hunt all three zones for ducks this past season from Oct. to January and only hunted a total of 34 days maybe a little more, only limited out about 7 or 8 times and got skunked once but still saw birds. I figured out that I probably averaged a little better than 4 ducks per trip. My yella dawg made well 200 retrieves and probably pushed 300 ducks, 5 canadas (a first for her), and two snow geese (also a first for her) that my buddies and myself had killed. And how many days did you get to hunt for that one or two birds ;p.

Well lets see, i hunted 21 days for the spring season for my own and guideing two others. Then fall season was pretty much the same. Did'nt go at it real hardcore or i could of included about 3 months with a bow...lol Did'nt try to do to much guideing this year, to many other irons in the fire.
Did'nt get soaked more then once or twice, didnt freeze my tail off, enjoyed the weather and even got some fishing in...lol

Well beat me on getting soaked then, I didn't get soaked even once (thanks to waders and gortex), didn't freeze (thanks to thinsulate), and could have gotten some fishing in if wanted but was too busy shooting at ducks

. Can't say I enjoyed the weather someof the time but it was bearable.
It took you 21 days to fill your tags???? Something else with ducks, YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAG EM AND CHECK EM IN

, unless of course your hunting a CA then you have a little green card to fill out at the end of your hunt.

Ahhhhhhh....the eternal conflict of which is superior...the waterfowl or the wild turkey....I'm not a waterfowl hunter, but I know lots of guys who are, and most of them are better at their waterfowl hunting than most of us are at our turkey hunting. I got all the respect in the world for a guy who trains his dog(s) all year, gets out in weather that keeps me warming my hands by the fire, and then has to clean those things. On the other hand, the scenery (and weather) for turkey hunting has it's good points. I guess it is sorta like fishing....is bass fishing superior to walleye fishing, or catfishing superior to crappie fishing, or vice versa? Nahhhh, we're all out there just doin; our thing and having a good time. I know you boys are just pulling some chain, so have fun doing it, and have even more fun hunting those waterfowl and wild turkeys. Hey...the sun just came out..gotta go fishing for something.

Bottom line for me is, those ducks only taste good with a lot of bar b q sauce or a lot of work. That turkey only tastes goods after i get over the chiggers and ticks. Crappie (and walleye) taste perfect right out of the boat!

It Taste Great, It's less filling.......Taste GREAT, less FILLING......blah, blah, blah.
You know what Wolfie, IT'S ALL GOOD as long as were still able to do it and pass it along to the future generation of hunters. The beauty of it is if we wanted to do it both we could and I would if I could afford it this year, just a bad year right now to try and start another addiction

.
Can ya feel the love
