I was wondering if we getting together. What about that counts fella ? I plan on pretty much skipping the rifle season from hear out. I will give it a try maybe next week. They managed to get the corn and beans out in alot of places earlier this week. Hopefully that saved a few biggin's live's to make for good late season bowhunting. I am pretty much counting on it.

Hey, the deer in SoCo haven't even been touched by the bangin. I heard 1 distant shot opening day. Saw a doe this morning, just millin around. Didn't come into 44 range, so I watched her. And as far as going out of town, if you fella's foot the bill, I am there. Gotta keep my finances in order for a while, with the Bus. and all.

I have been hunting solely at home this year. I have had to pull my wings in since going full time with my business. I just didn't want you guys to think I has hunting close because it is a deer mecca or something. wink, wink.

Just slipped out the door here at work. 8 pt just chased a doe across the parking lot. That's about all I can take of that. When we going again ?

For the first time in 24 years I did not buy a MO firearms tag. I may purchase one for muzzleloader season, but not even sure about that. I did shotgun hunt in IL though, and other than killing a nice 10 pt. it sucked too. I think archery and muzzleloaders from now on.

I will continue to carry a rifle until I kill one over 160" although my mind tells me I am to the point of putting it down once and for all. Where I hunt, I don't shoot more than 75 yards anyhow. If I get one with a gun or a bow this year, then I will not carry a rifle next year. I am through with it I tell you.
