My old Martin I shoot has a brace height of about 1/4 inch. So how tricky is that? I know its less that 7, like 6 3/4 inches
How tricky is what? Your brace height is not 1/4", dumbass. If it's 6 3/4", it shouldn't be too bad in my hands. In yours, it will not be as accurate as something with a 7"+ brace-height.
I was kidding on the comment of about having a 1/4" brace height. I looked it up the 1997 Martin Firecat has a 6 1/2" brace height. I got a used Martin Tracer a couple of months ago and it has a brace height of 7 3/8", almost a full inch increase. I am looking forward to getting it setup.

3) Roll-over - Not sure what you mean.
I think he might mean "break-over." The point of the draw in which you feel the let-off take affect.

Craig, if you are looking at Bowtechs, go ahead and try the defender and the other new one. I just didn't like the feel of the draw on it, starting off a little more harsh and then getting easier as you get closer to breakover. It just felt wierd to me. You may like it. They do make a fast bow though. The dually is just down right scarey! I will likely go with the Tundra, it is long, fast(relatively for its specs) forgiving and quiet. I just love the smoothness of the CPS cam system. Have you ever shot that system? If you are shooting a new Hoyt, you have been pretty close to shooting it, but I have to be honest, the CPS is smoother. I think it is because the cams on the Dartons are a little bit bigger, making them a little smoother to draw. Just my opinion. Sometimes, you actually seem like you know a little bit about archery. You must do a lot of reading like I do. If you weren't such an

My goodness, you guys put a lot more thought into buying a bow than I do for buying a truck. I just buy what feels good to me.

What amazes me is that all of those dudes that can tell you the ins and outs of any specific bow or gun on the market generally don't know chit about killing deer.

Hookset, I don't know about Mocraig, but I pay a great deal of attention to everything archery related so I can make an informed decision when I make a purchase. I shoot my bow all year, and shoot a lot of 3-D competitions in a year, so I want a good bow that will help me minimize any form flaws I may have. Mocraig and I share the same views on the right bow for us, because we have done a lot of research on the topic, and know what we need to make us a better shot in crunch time. There is a lot more involved in finding a good shooting bow than most people think.

PS, you can suck a big one buddy.
You are right though, I have yet to shoot a buck, only to find it 2 weeks later, drop my gun from stand only to break it, or have a finger removed while moving a treestand. You are clearly a better woodsman that I

I think he's getting a bit edgy because he hasn't killed jack squat this year. Except for that gobbler he shot on the roost. Rumor has it, his string of bad luck has even gotten to where his wife has taken the flyswatter away from him at the house.

Oh no, I may not kill a big buck, but I will kill at least one more doe, and at least one turkey with my bow before the season is over.
