Got an excellent recipe fer Otter Flambe'. Only downside is once you light 'em up, they are darn hard to catch!
Speakin' of otters, IF you DID see a turkey, What WOULD you throw at the wily Thunder Chicken, fixed blade or Mechanical broadheads? Since you "ain't got no", this would be a hypa thet, hypothatik, err.....a WHAT IF YOU DID, WHAT WOULD YA Th'ow type a keschin.

TomBow, I would throw a mechanical head at'em, if we had turkeys that is. My thinkin behind this is...
mechanicals typically have alot wider cuttin radius. When it comes to a turkey the wider the cuttin radius, the better. Also, I believe I tend to get a lil better flight and my accuracy is a lil better with mechanicals, but some fellas will debate that.
Iffin we had turkeys in MO, I would also back my mechanical blade up with a Gobbler Stopper or some similar type contraption, to prevent pass thru shots as much as possible.
... of course this is all hypothetical since we ain't got no turkeys in MO.

If we had turkeys I would use mechanical.
C&C, otter noodling? Will there be a season this year? They are about the only thing left in MOMO
BB, what do you have in the way of an otter recipe? BBQ like a coon or just serve with corn liquor?

Could not find chit on an otter recipe, it does appear that there is a mixed drink called the otter though.
Best guess would be to flour it and fry it in lard with a side of fried taters.

Fishin,
The otter noodlin' season is a non-published season by the MDC. It can only be done a night, with spot lights, and on land marked with purplr paint.

One other thing about otter noodlin' season-
Since it is new there is a limited trial season and limited boides of water you can try it on. The season runs in January and February when the air temp is below 32 degrees, and the trial rivers are the upper Current and Meramec.

'couple year ago I bagged me the biggest Otter-lope buck ya ever did see! Danged if I can find the pi'tures, though!
Wouldn't a stopper kill the penetration? Or is the KE gonna push that sucker through?........I mean, IF there WAS such thing as a Turkey and IF it happened to wander from wherever the h turkeys come from into a state somewhere south of Iowa. Lemme guess, them uns that ever mighta said they was turkleburks in the Show-Me musta had too much J-Dubya Red. That stuff'll make ya see lotsa turkeys if'n ya maximize the intake a bit too much!! 'n the durn things'll gobble, too!!

TomBow, again this is just hypothetical...
it does reduce the penetration but not enuff to keep the head from openin. It reduces it just enuff to keep the arrow from passin thru.

Sorry MOCraig, I had my voicebox set on Hillbilly, just a sec....
Oh ya dere guy, Oh it's a cold one eh, up here in Minnesoata eh? 'specially when we're out on da ice tryin' ta jig up a few nice 'eyes fer dinner! somebody check da tip-up. Any flags yet? I t'ink it's gotta be close ta t'irty below windchill, donchaknow. Holy cripes. Me, ole, lena and sven are headed up to da UP fer some sleddin' next week. Dey gotta a 24" base and da groomers have been out dere every day! Dat Polaris o' mine is gonna rip! can't wait, eh?! Seen the movie Fargo? The accent there is an extreme example but isn't too far off. Oh ya! You Betcha!
See I got this disease where I pick up accents along the way. Kinda of a monkey-hear, monkey-say thing. We were at Talladega for Nascar a few years in a row and by about the 2nd day I could hear myself Alabama-sizing my speech. Not meant to offend anyone just appreciating the local culture and speech patterns. It just sort of happens.
But if hillbilly means redneck which means somebody that don't take too much too seriously and likes to have fun and joke around a bit, you can paint me with hillbilly paint and I'll wear it proudly.

Hey TomBow, do you walleye fish? If so you ought to talk to the guys in the Walleye forum. Many of them are from Wisconsin and them northern states. I'm sure you could get into a good Packer-Vikings discussion.
