At Mari-Osa that is the Osage that the ramp goes into. But it's just a short jaunt down to where the Osage goes into the Missouri. I've seen some big fish come from around that area.
Marion access ramp dumps you directly into the Missouri River. There is also some fairly easy walking out to a wing-dike or two. Last year when I was up there, river had come down to reveal the top of a Geo Tracker behind one of the dikes. I didn't investigate too closely, just called the authorities and let them know.
Maybe we can get Wolfie to set up another catfishing get-together.

Will probably try to get one in the works before long ODF. Got some fellas on a hard core cat site want to do one as well. Was looking at one on truman last year.
Got a couple of cat tourneys comeing up. They just finshed one last weekend on LOZ where the first place boat weighed a 25, 15 and 13 pounder i believe it was. Got one comeing up on truman in may.

Was supposed to go video tapeing/snagging this weekend myself but canceled out. Ambers been wanting to hunt the youth season. Now after the last couple of days of rains she's iffy...lol
Way the weathers looking id leave the bowfishing rig at home and go rigged for BIG cats, either below bagnel or truman.
Mext tourney is at Long Shoals May 7th i believe it is. $50 entry fee and a $10 big fish on the side. One a month after that at crowes crossing, mark twain(night) and a couple of others.

Wolfman, I always take liver and I have a big bag of shad in the freezer. I like the sonny's for catching the eater channels and blues. Don't really like the monsters for eatin but they are fun to catch. I will be on the town side of the lake drivin a green z71 tahoe if'n you get down that way.

Hey PS....soembody is selling a whole case of Sonny's on Ebay...24 jars...auction ends about noon today, but the price was about twelve bucks, plus shipping. If you don't fish with it, you can always slip an opened jar under a fishing buddy's car seat in the summer heat.......

A medium size shad in a small jar without a lid also leaves an impression. --paddle

Many years ago I was locked in a practical joke battle with a fellow member of a small volunteer fire department. He put some catfish stink bait in the saddlebags of my motorcycle, which I found almost immediately. To retaliate, I put a pint jar of kimchee under the cover of the spare tire of his full size Chevy Blazer. If you recall, the spare mounted on a swingarm inside the rear compartment. It was early July in south Texas, and he didn't find it for several days....by then you could not get within 20 feet of the Blazer without throwing up. At that point we declared a truce and didn't do that sort of thing again.
