Haven't decided yet. JT and I for sure. We may have an initiation process to see ifn' folks can cut the mustard. But, ifn' a guy passes, he can rest assured he will be a part of infinite turkey carnage.

You are correct, but six still isn't enough in MO.

I do fall turkey hunt. I just don't make mention of it much. You are forgetting the 2 with a bow. That makes 6. I haven't really talked much about this springs hunting either, but it was fair to decent.

Oh ya, I forgot to add the fall shotgun. I included archery... ofcourse. I am to busy trying to down some sammich ivory to take time for some turk's with a shotgun thus why I completely forgot to include it.

I was sure looking fwd to the new Buffalo Ridge Bow Camp in IL this year...
With MT antelope in Aug, MN bear in Sept, I just don't see swinging the new price gouge for IL deer.

You forgot to mention the Texas hog/ram hunt earlier this year. That had to set you back at the very least the cost of the IL tag.
I can say this about IL tags. If I had a place where I could hunt one solid week in early November without having to pay for the lease, outfitter, etc... I would pony up for that tag in a second. No questions asked. On another note, I bet they sell all 20k of those tags and in a year or so, they will be in the same position they were last fall. I don't see how capping it at 20k really solved anything. I don't blame the IDNR for

g the price of tags, because folks will pay it for sure.

Yep. It's supply/demand. The ILDNR can keep jacking up the cost of tags. Every year a lot more hunters will piss & moan about it, but every year they'll sell every available tag.

I've got a few thousand acres of land available to hunt and can stay with parents while there. The thing keeping me from doing that is that I'm as far away from IL as any place in MO can possibly be. Also, I just can't see spending more than 3 days away from my wife & kids right now. Maybe in a few years, that'll be more likely, but not right now.

You talking about my IL hunting spots or my wife & kids?

Iowa is just about as bad, or will be soon.
It is crazy that it's cheaper to buy a out of state elk tag in CO than deer hunt in IL. I agree that they will sell out of tags though.

My wife would probably be okay with that and I'd appreciate a little rest. Thanks, Craig.

If you want to hang around the house to keep that lecherous bastage away from your wife, I will gladly keep an eye on the hunting spots for you. I`ll even go so far as to send you pictures of what you could have killed had you been there.

Tony...you had better help us sell a chit load of videos in IL so we can fund the new tags. I too, was really looking forward to some good trips and hospitality at Buffalo Ridge.
