Guvner....I have tried to send you a couple of PM's. For some reason, the software does not recognize your user name and won't send the note. Send a PM to me and maybe I can get some info to you with an answer.
Thanks,
CW

Table Rock is a fella named Marty Ford, who lives down on Table Rock lake. He and I have been tournament partners for the past year, but now his wife is getting to be better at catching walleyes than either of us, so while I may be losing a tournament partner, he is gaining a money winner to help get a check......and Jerri is a top notch mushroom hunter, too. Some guys have all the luck!!!!!! Image

CW, if the tax for agriculture land hasn't changed, you probably don't pay enough for much more than gravel. Image

Taxes on this place run close to two grand a year...and the country can keep the gravel. Ten years ago, the commission promised publicly that they would pave every road in the county if the voters would give them a sales tax increase. The county got the tax increase, but the promise to pave the roads seems to have been forgotten. At least the commissioner who lives north of me was able to get his road fixed so that he could get into town without all that dust. I have never seen a group photo of the county commission, but it would not surprise me to find out they all have noses a couple of feet long......like a certain wooden puppet.

Yeah, this is a weird place. I live outside the city limits, and there is no township government, so I am merely a "county resident." In effect, I have absolutely no municipal representation. How ridiculous is that???????

The area we live in is primarily "estate" homes. Some guy came in, bought a 40-acre parcel at the corner of our access road for $2 million, and wants to rezone it and put in 700 apartments. A bunch of us went to the city zoning commission meeting (the land is being annexed). His deal was approved on the spot despite all the citizens' objections and despite the fact that he didn't even have a written plan or drawings or anything. Had a drawl thicker than pea soup; obviously someone's bro-in-law...

Sorry, I'm not a political-minded person and I seldom speak up on "issues," but stuff like this is laughable.
