[Duck Me Runnin]

I'll hunt anything with feathers.The only other critter I chase is deer with a rifle,and it is strictly a matter of groceries. Don't get me wrong,I can appreciate a trophy,but I'm not about to sit in a tree for a week or more lookin' for one.

I've watched dudes throw in the towel on the deer after having a few good duckin' experiences. Belly Up (on the cafe)used to be a bow hunting fanatic,and he's taken some really nice bucks. After being infected with waterfwoler's fever,he hasn't even bought a tag in years. I also like to think that i played a part in Kingfisher seeing the light. That boy has gone off the deep end.

I'm diggin the Deer Hunting with a rifle almost as much as Duck Hunting. There are so many things that need to line up right in order for me to be consistantly successful. One of them is that the birds have to be here when I've made plans to go. With deer hunting you know the animals are in the area. Same thing with Turkey.

There isn't anything like calling ducks into your dekes, but dang... If you can't get away when the time is right...

Before the kids came around I was always making 2-4 day trips over to 4 Rivers.
