Deadeye, if they were all that easy, it wouldn't be as much fun.

I could have killed one from the kitchen last night, around 5:20, that would have put the one in the picture to shame.

It is hard to put a 26 pound turkey to shame. A bird like that isn't terribly common. Again, a dandy for sure.

Not in weight, but in beard and spur length. This boss tom would score mid 70's as I guessed his measurement on the NWTF site.

We might see if I'm right next week.

21lb, 11" beard, 1 3/8" spurs. I've been catching hel because I shot it out from under LA. She was there and ready, but didn't have a clear shot, so being the a-hole that I am, I dropped it.

Nice bird, Dave. Image

Did you kill him for failing to pay his subdivision fees ? Image

I just squared away 200 acres of land that has had 15 to 20 birds on it the last 2 mornings. Look to be gobblers and jakes best I can tell. Should be a done deal rain or shine. We will see.

Actually LA had it in her mind it was her bird to shoot, and I'm feeling like a thief for taking the shot. It was close, and I was worried that if we didn't get it killed then, it would bust us. I'm pretty sure that I made the wrong decision now. After all, she got up as early as I did. Image Sorry LA, sometimes I get an itchy trigger finger.

No, she was crouched in the brush. I have a pic of her holding it though. It's like the 2b pic. All you can see is her head and the tops of her feet, the turkey covers her up from her neck to her ankles.

That's what I keep hearing. I'm starting to believe it.

70.5 on the stolen bird.

Meh, If she wanted to shoot it that bad, she'd of knocked you down and shot it herself, kinda like Posionsnake does to his wife while deer hunting.

I didn't have a clear shot YET, JT. But thanks for the support! Image
