I wouldn't mind going to this deal. I know I have one weekend in July that is out. This sounds like fun.

I'm in. Last weekend in July would be best for me. Followed by the weekend of 17-18. The 24-25 I may or may not be able to make.

Not sure where Rosco's place is, but I have waded the Meramec at Cherryville. It is barely even a creek there. But last time I was there, there were smallmouth-o-plenty.

Maybe me and the Poisonsnake can launch an assault on the Hobie compound, and perhaps get his balls out of his wife's purse for a weekend...

I know we are talking about going to Montauk sometime in July. I'm not sure if it is final though. I'll find out tonight.

Oh, and JD, does Hobie even exist anymore? I thought he died.

PS, I heard he died and they gave him an enema and all that was left could be buried in a mayonaise jar. We'll get something posted in the next few days and see who is coming. i need to confirm the dates with Mike first.

Sounds good. I forgot to ask the old lady about Montauk last night. I'll e-mail her.

I will be on vacation from July 23rd till Aug 8th so dates in that time frame will not be good. Anytime before or after would be better.

Looks like Mike confirmed the dates for us. How about August 14-15? That should avoid most peoples vacation so even Meramec will be less crowded. Or, like Jim said we can wade the river around Cherryville and still camp at Mike's and have the cookout. Post up your comments.

Let's plan on August 14/15 then at Mike's camp. Post up if you think you will make it and what you will bring. We'll do some trout fishing at Meramec or stream fishing near Cherryville depending on what the group wants to do. We'll get some directions pm'd to those who sign up. We can plan to arrive at MIke's at 1:30 or 2 (if he brings the keys this time) and fire up the grill. We'll need a fryer but there is plenty of firewood. this will be different than our usual hoedown but will be a good place to have it. You stick and string guys can bring your gear and have a shoot out for the "TOP BOW" title. We can set up some washers and I'll bring the hillbilly golf game.

Mike, regardless of any one else showing we can still do this trip like we did last time. It was a good time and great place so I am in.

I have a fish fryer so I will bring it and the testicle toss game is down there. There is plenty of firewood.
