Whatever happened to identifying your target? I can understand if you were shooting at what you thought was a 10 point at 200 yards....but misidentification at archery range??
Keith - Smitty couldn't tell the difference between an 8 and 10 point at 30-40 yards (max) and you want us to believe he recognized this as a genetically inferior deer??? That's even goofier then what Smitty did!!

BTW was it genetically inferior when it was the 10 he THOUGHT he was shooting or did it only become inferior after he realized he fornicated up and shot an 8?
edit: 2B - This "genetically inferior 8 point" could very well turn out to be a dandy 10, 12 or bigger and this is all just a fishin' trip for PS and Keith.

This is another example of the CCGC letting its aligator mouth over run its hummingbird azz. ODF, your challenges to the credibility of these imposters is right on target. All the bullchit they preach and then PS does something stupid like this at archery range. Keith, you better give up shooting video if this is the kind of hunter you are going to shoot...Chuck Adams he's not.

Who gives a flying fornicate what you knuckledraggers think. If you jacklegs are so fornicating perfect, let's see the pics of the big deer you guys have killed this year! Anybody knows that this time of year, feces can happen fast. Imagine this, since none of you have clearly experienced it, you are sitting in a stand, a deer comes running up behind you at 30 plus yards. It is a doe, she starts hauling the mail out of the area, and deer number two comes up behind her with his face in the dirt grunting his

off. He is coming in quickly, he has a big body and looks to be carrying a nice set of

with good mass, big body, good mass, looks like a good deer, he's about to enter a shooting lane, you draw, you shoot, you make a good hit. Wow, that was fast, all this happened in a matter of about 5 seconds, you had about 1-2 seconds to see and judge this buck and make the shot, or it's too late. Which one of you mofos would have done any different? None of you! He doesn't have to justify himself to any of you goofnecks. If the deer had turned out to be a 150 inch 10 pointer you all be praising him for a job well done. SO until you here the story of how things happened, STFU and until you can do better, don't down somebody for being successful! Congrats PS, on another fine animal.

Brother.

Limbshot - To use PS's line...have a glass of STFU! If you can't fornicating tell an 8 point from a 10 point at 30 yards you don't need to be in the woods, period! Put the weapons down and go back to school and learn how to count!
I haven't brought a buck down this year and may not...see, I'm not one that just TALKS about QAM, I actually practice it. I don't

about how everyone should only shoot big, mature bucks and then go out and shoot an immature buck. I've got a 10 point on the wall. I won't shoot anything with

smaller than that. And unlike you, I actually can tell the difference between 8 and 10 points at 30 yards...or more. 1...2...3...4...5....now see if you can GUESS the next 5 numbers!

But I still got's a feeling this whole thread is one big bucket of chum!

Talked to Ole PMS last night and there was some ground shrinkage with the deer....but it happened so quick that it was tough to gauge how many points the deer had....but a 120" 8 point with a bow is nothing to scoff at either.

I had no idea how many points this deer had. I knew that it had 8 for certain, but I thought it was a 10 pointer that I had seen twice before. A solid 130" deer. Now, I have said I was in search of a 160". Never said anything about killing one. Seeing one would be like finding a needle in a haystack. I think I have seen 2 or 3 in my life that big. I did get shafted by a big deer twice this past weekend. I should have killed him on Sunday had I placed my stand a little different. Now, about this sammich buck I killed. I was looking in the direction of where this big deer had come. I had moved my stand down into the draw. Well, out of the corner of my eye, I catch a glimpse of movement. I see a deer walking down the logging road where my stand had been. I had one shooting lane at 40 yards. Well, I could see the deer had good mass and good height. But, the deer had already gotten by me. In fact, he had probably walked a good 40 yards by me before I even saw the deer. I grabbed by bow off of the hanger (had a hard time getting it off of there as the cables got caught up in the hook). Then, I couldn't get my d-loop hooked on my release. I mean I was fumbling seriously while this deer was getting away. I finally drew and put a perfect quartering shot on him at 40 yards. Deer went about 150 yards and piled up. I kept telling my brother that I hoped it wasn't an 8 pointer. I was sick when I found that it was. I truly thought it was a 10 pointer. Funny thing, this deer had walked up on me at 15 feet while I didn't have a bow in my hand on Saturday morning. I told Keith@aimlow that I wasn't sure I would pass on that dude as he had good mass and decent height. The deer field-dressed 170 pounds. I gave the cape to my taxidermist. He was tickled to get it as always. I got my hands on Terry Drury's monster from Iowa. It is more or less a 6x4. The G4 on the rt main beam is an inch, but not much more than that making it a 6x5. Truly a monster none-the-less. While my deer was a good deer, he wasn't a great deer. I have killed bigger. This deal happened so quick, I could not tell how many points he did have. I have been able to count points several times. But, there are times that I have not been able to do so. In fact, on my 151" 8 pointer, I thought it might be a nine. I was truly hoping it was an 8 pointer, and that is what he turned out to be. This time, it was the other way around.
