It "may" have been a certain REELXTC who grounded a 22.5' LUND Genmar Sport Cabin at Lake Erie, while, navigating between the red and green channel markers. We found out later from the dude at the marina that the channel markers had shifted, good thing to know.

To make a long story short, McMatt and I ended up in the 40 degree water up to our chests to get the Minnow turned into the 4' waves and out away from the rock breakwall. Probably the coldest I've ever been in my life.

We made it back to the dock and the winch strap broke while pulling the Minnow up the ramp, good thing we had remembered to attach the safety chain or we would have ended the day with an I/O cabin cruiser on the ramp.

Thanks again to McMatt as the best 1st mate a Captain could ask for, he jumped in the water right behind me to get the boat turned in to the wind.

The term for a round-headed person (like ReelXTC) is dicephalic. Most of us have horse-shaped heads (brachycephalic), because that is the dominant trait.

Genetically speaking, when somebody exhibits an inordinate number of recessive traits (such as round-headedness, a widow's peak, inability ro roll the tongue, a fascination with sandbars, etc.), they are called inbred.......

Sorry, XTC, I couldn't resist. Must've been pretty hairy out there on the big lake in April.

What we're willing to go through just to try to catch a few pea-brained walleyes!
