I'm going to go off on a limb here and make a prediction. I hereby predict that I will have the opportunity to kill a deer this evening. Furthermore, I'll have the opportunity to kill 2 different 8 pointers this weekend. On average, my deer travel 50-100 yards once I shoot them. This is just estimating. heck, I have never taken the time to walk it off. Furthermore, I generally guestemate distance of the shot as well. Last year it was over 40. I figure 41-42 yards. Bobcat, 15-20 yards. heck I don't know. I just draw back and kill them. I don't use a range finder nor do I mark trees.
