Now who's takin' the potshots, OF ?

I tripped the trigger 3 times last year. One deer ran about 60 yds. , the other two tumbled like socks in the dryer. Image

Bow hunters are up in a tree 95% of the time. Gun and ML hunters aren't always up in a tree stand. Since deer hardly ever are 15'+ up in a tree, the bow hunters shouldn't be shot accidentaly.

How's that for an answer ODF?

hey dumbazz, bowhunters ain't "always" up in a tree stand by your own statement....95% doesn't equal "always". Image But what does that have to do with ANYTHING?? They still got to that treestand somehow. They are still going to get back out of the woods somehow. You also have bowhunters that still hunt from the ground and also change stands/locations. HO in a treestand isn't going to make a rat's azz difference on whether or not a bowhunter gets a shot at a deer.

Now, did you have a specific point or are you just trying to defend MDC's dumbazz position??? By using your logic, archery hunter's shouldn't need HO during regular firearms season, yet MDC requires it then. Image

I have worn hunter orange when bow hunting in gun season.

I am defending the MDC's dumbaszed reg's. There's not nearly as many crazies out there for ML season, and they can't blast away at everything cause they only have one shot!

Show me an instance where a ML hunter has shot a bowhunter on accident, and you can continue the point you're trying to make.

Here's a scenario, guy is ML hunting. Has a deer walking a ridge line, bowhunter is on the next ridge on the opposite side of the deer. Guy throws the gun up and shoots, misses the deer and hits the bowhunter. What happens if the bowhunter was wearing orange, maybe the ML hunter sees the orange and passes on the shot?

Here's a scenario: Suppose I am out on the HFA in my creek bottom and shoot up and toward a deer standing high upon my main ridge at an angle of 80 degrees. The bullet lands somewhere in downtown Columbia and strikes some stupid donkey at Columbia Mall. Should that fellow have been wearing blaze orange?

The point MDC is trying to make is just this: If you aren't ready to dodge bullets and possibly die in the attemtpt to hunt deer, then just stay home, panzy.

dave t - I'm ready to do all that. Problem is I ain't willing to pay the fine and possibly lose hunting privleges if the man catches me w/o my HO. Image If you believe the MDC has a point they are trying to make then you are by far the goofiest mo-fo on this board, possibly on the whole internet. You're trying to defend the brainiacs that allow unlimited nuisance tags, bonus antlerless tags, but then restrict hunting on the local CA to preserve the population. Image Image
