I will not kill anything less than a 140" this year and I think this may be the year. As far as the turkey from the treestand. I have never had a problem drawing on them. The times I have had opportunities to whack a turkey in the fall from a treestand. They come in basically single file, then go by my stand single file ( for the most part ) I just wait till their back is to me as they are exiting the immediate area. I get drawn and ready to put the kill shot on em, I fork up one way or another. I don't think it to be any harder. They can't smell for chit apparently. Now if you got a whole flock of em all around you I would recon that would be a tough situation to get drawn in.

BTW=> Way to go LS, that beats balls. I bet you are feeling pretty good about this deal. I sure would be.

Yeah, I am pretty excited about the whole deal. I just like killing turks with archery equipment. I don't really care where I do it from. I have just had a lot less trouble with birds busting me from the ground than from the sky, don't really know the difference, plus I just like giving Blowflake some trouble. I really like it when I shoot a turkey with an arrow and the first thing they do is hit the dirt and just start flopping. Those expandibles really jack them up. I get pretty fired up when I hit a bird and it dies within 10 yards of where I shot it. So far the new heads have done the trick! I may be getting to the point where I leave the scatter gun at home in the spring!!! We'll see about that though.

I can guarantee you that shooting a turkey at under 10 yards on the ground without a blind, is harder than killing one from a tree stand. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Limbshot!!!

That depends on what you were hiding behind and how well you are hidden. So lick my pipe snowy. The only thing you can guarantee is that you are an oxygen thief that is wasting perfectly good air!
