Welcome co-highjacker. You know if Kentucky were, and I repeat were, able to win the NCAA tournament, they would have to forfeit it within 2 years.....See Calipari's track record....UMass, Memphis, Kentucky? :rotfl:

You know 170, I have always liked Kentucky basketball. Always. But, with Calapari in there, there is a hint of a stinch associated with it. They are a talented bunch though. I'll give them that.

As much as it pains me to say this, I believe KS will win it all come April.

Kansas might do it, but I don't think they will. Keep an eye on Villanova and Syracuse. Those boys are tough and very well coached. I don't think any team is well above the rest this year though.

Thanks RB.

Getting back on topic of picking on LS. Limbshot, leave the basketball to me and Triton. Don't you have a soccer game to attend?

Same here PS. I grew up with UK basketball. Back in the day that was the only college ball we had the opportunity to watch on TV. WPSD, out of Paducah, Kentucky usually ran a game (on tape delay) that some of my teammates, cheerleaders, and I would watch after our own games were over. I`ve been a fan ever since. Good times I tell ya.

Growing up, I got the same damn channel. Channel 6 out of Paducah. That and KFVS 12 out of Cape.

Kentucky always put a good team on the court even into the Tubby Smith years. But, they were falling off and in recent years they downright sucked. But, when I saw that Calapari was moving to Lexington, I knew the SEC was in trouble. He has put them back on the map in less than a year. That in itself is amazing.

I used to live, and breathe, college basketball. Then came the hardship draft (remember when players had to qualify financially to leave school early for the NBA), and then high school players jumping straight to the pros. College stars only stay in school for a year, or two, these days. There`s no familiarity with fans, players, and teams like there used to be. I hate that about the modern college game. I always respected Tim Duncan for staying his senior year.

Yes, I am a soccer guy, but I can assure you, I am well educated in college basketball, and unlike most in this area, I realize there is basketball (and much better basketball with a couple exceptions) outside the Big 12. Being from Louisville originally, and having immediate family that attended both schools, I am a rare person in that I pull for both U fo L and UK. I may be the only one that pulls for both. I have been a college b-ball fan all my life. I think having both Calipari and Pitino in the state is great for Kentucky basketball and the interschool rivalry. Now if Pitino can just keep his willie in his pants, and Calipari doesn't buy anymore Escalades for his player's families, it could stay exciting for years to come. However, like i said, keep an eye on 'Cuse and 'Nova, they are as good or better than Kansas, and will be more tested because of better conference competition. One more thing, suck a fat one snake!

You are full of chit Lonepine. I'm like a damn rattlesnake right now. You wouldn't know me if you saw me. I've dropped 25 pounds. Of course, when you are mostly muscle and lose fat and water weight, your appearance doesn't change a lot. I'm like a rattlesnake bich. I'll bite your ass.

I tell you, the worst mistake Pitino ever made was leaving UK. I believe he freely admits to that. He truly could have built a dynasty there unlike any other in college basketball. Screw Syracuse and Jimmy Boeheim. Now, I did see Villanova and they look good. I hate KS so bad it pains me to say this.... I hate the Big East moreso than I hate me a bunch of Jayhawks.

If Calipari's form hold true, can you say Eddie Sutton? He will leave a legend at KU in the end and it wont be pretty.

UK, UK, it's freaking UK, Kansas is KU!!! :rotfl:

Say what you want PS, the Big East has been a tough ass conference since the teams that left conference USA joined them. I'd venture to say they will have 1 to 2 number 1 cedes in the tourney every year, but that is just my opinion. Only time will tell.

I'm not disputing it. I just hate the Big East.
