Pretty simple deal. Did you weigh it on a scale?

My profession is engineering. So yes, my attitude of an accurate estimate of weight is fitting to my profession.
I don't know what that has to do with having the world by the balls, but OK.

Again I ask, are you gonna tell me that doe is anywhere near as big as the pic of the buck I posted?

I think your head is bigger than both put together.

Just continue your prostaff video pursuits and let us little people toil with such issues.

Third time I have asked, but yet you won't answer. That is anwer enough.

What does the video thing have to do with it?

OK, Snowflake is right. I do say a sincere congrats to Two Tall on both nice deer, regardless of weight.

Now maybe Two Tall can give me some advice on my daughters rounds. Shot hers in the shoulder with 25.06, 117 gr SSP. Dropped it like a sack of crap, but the entry was pencil sized and the bullet stayed in the opposite shoulder. I should have dug it out to look at it, but didn't think about it. What would that bullet do thru ribs only?

Hey Two Tall, I didn't see the post in which you explain lifting the buck and etc. I am not sitting behind my buck for effect, my knees are actually against his shoulder (yes, I am that small).

I believe you that it was a big doe and bigger than the buck. I just think a 180 lb doe is way, way rarer that people seem to think. You are taking me way to serious, really just dishing crap.

I would like your input on my daughter's rounds.

25.06 Is a outstanding deer cartridge. I'm no fan of a two hole bullet theory. I like for total energy dump inside the body. Blood trails are only good for deer that survive the shot. Most often bullets that don't exit kill on impact when put in the boiler room. I'd say don't change a thing.

You should be careful of shot placement. Making that bullet go through a hindquarter a foot of guts to the chest cavity would probably leave you hanging, but chances are she's never going to take that shot. Mostly that kind of insurance is just there for those once in a lifetime opportunities.

If you daugther is a good shot and patient, nothing kills faster than a ballistic tip. Use them like broadhead theory -- the double lung. No meat damage at all. No exit wound and almost instant death.

Shawn knows why that doe had 30lbs on the buck

The buck has no body

Shawn saw a monkey once in the woods, but that is a
different story.....

<Shawn is NOT talking about Craig in this instance>

But Shawn has never seen a buck without a torso...weird

Shawn knows there is only 353 days until the opening of rifle season

Cranky butts

Or what's the bennefit of a 300mag with a 20" barrel when trying to decide between the tsx and ballistc tip.

I think Robin was wrong in giving TT a hard time, we should all try to get along.

The buck in my avatar weighed 225 on one scale and 250 on another. I always tell the story that he must be somewhere in between. Do you two mean to tell me that your deer weighed within 30 or so pounds of my deer? No freaking way. You guys need to explain yourself and your weighing techniques. Image

Let me say that handloding is a big waste of time. lol I should know since i have killed many big bucks. I do not hand load. If you ask me a hunter should spend more time learning about the woods and less playing with bullets. lol
