I second that. Johnny's Smoke Stak is the place to eat in Rolla.

I went to school in Rolla in the early 80's and really enjoyed those gyro sandwiches at Alex's Pizza. Is that place still around?

"So you will only kill the squirrels that you can eat? Do you only keep enough fish for dinner? I try every year to donate a deer to Share the Harvest is that deer not as good as the one I ate?
"

Yes I only kill/harvest the amount of squirrels I'm going to eat and the same with the fish or anything for that matter. If he gave the meat he harvested to share the harvest I am truly glad really I am.
I was just thought to hunt and harvest what you can eat and only keep around what you can eat. The only time you take more then you can eat is when you know it's going to become hardtimes and you are going to need alittle more then then norm'.

To answer something that was said along time ago... It isn't the fact that he got more then me and I got less, I could really care less if someone got more or not. I think he went over bourd.

Sorry it took so long but I had to go to work.

Alex's is still around, my wife really enjoys their food. But Johnny's, man oh man. Another good call for stake house, with a full bar, is Gordo's - best stake in town.

Isn't Gordo's that place out on Forum Drive close to Adventuretime Video? I was trying to think of the name of that place a few weeks back. I was remembering the St. Pat's that I'd spend there and that bar out there used to sell a 1 liter carafe of a drink called "The Unknown."

The best barbecue on Rt. 66, according to Rt. 66 magazine, is here in Joplin at the Sultan of Smoke. He doesn't have a buffet, but has some damn good food. I'd still say I prefer Johnny's.

I never ate at Alex's, but always heard good things about it. My F.I.L. retired from the Highway Patrol at Rolla and that's where all the troopers liked to go eat.

Nope, That's Bruno's bar and grill out there on Forum. Gordo's is on 72 like Johnny's. Gordo's is one of the few stake houses I have been in where I just did not need the stake sauce.

I am one of those Friday night fish eaters right now, do they have anything on the buffet I can eat?

Dr,

You have a job? I didn't realize there was any place to work down there.

I understand where you are coming from but I just don't think you get it. Did he need to kill all those deer? NO Did he help the population and the herd? Yes

I don't think that he failed though he did not reach his intended goal. There is always next year.

Yeah ther are a few jobs down here. But I"m at the bottom of the job line.. I'm a farmhand making anywhere from 5-10$ an hour only working a few days a week. But hey it's money for my pocket right?

I she both sides of the rainbow Fishin. I agree both sides have very good points so it's very needless to go on since it can and probly would go on forever on this one.

I do see both sides. I was just making sure I seen both in there true light... I tried to get someone to change there story but it never happened and that is really good.

Nice chating with ya about this Fishin, thank you for your insight about what was done. Your a good man.
