Here is what I don't understand. It has been said that the WAS stands for improving the heard. They are looking to improve the heard and that is what they stand for. My question is, if you are only looking to improve the heard, and you are not doing it for all the glory of killing more deer than anybody else in the state, then why, and how do you know that you were doubled by somebody else? Sounds to me like glory was the only motivation here. WAS=Want All the Spotlight!!!

Dmav "Sounds to me like glory was the only motivation here" that is what I was trying to also get across by talking about the number thing. I really do'nt remember getting an answer for that one but I thought I'd drop it there since I did see good and bad, it also helped that fishin was peachful about talking about it.

I'm tard of yell'n, but am will'n to talk.

Ever point of view needs to be thought out and seen from BOTH sides. Then and only then can you make a wise choice.

I couldn't give a rat's behind why he is doing it. I will never question a hunter who does everything legally and is a succesful hunter. It was merely a jab at the WAS who is lead by a guy who claims to be doing what he is doing to balance the herd when his true motivation is the glory of being the deer killinist SOB around. I'll give him this, he is the deer killinist SOB I know. If he is doing it for the glory, so be it, but don't lie about it, just come out and say, hey, I want to kill more deer than anybody else in the state. Don't hide behind the improving the herd stuff when you really couldn't care less.

Look at the title of this thread. Why would TTTim have titled it "I wasn't even close" if he wasn't trying to kill more deer than anyone else?

The only reason the CCGC keeps harping on this same thing over and over, is because none of their members have accomplished a feat like this and they are jealous!!
Don't worry boys, if you keep listening, learnin, and practicin, someday the WAS might consider your applications. Until then, keep your chins up!

Craig,
Why else would you compare your scores to others but to see how you did relative to everyone else?
Why would you care how many your friend caught if you didn't want to compare your catch to his?
Ask yourself this: If TTTim HAD killed the most deer in the state, what do you think this thread would be titled?

I said you have no idea if that's his only motivation, nor is that important. How did you put it...??...oh, yeah:
"his true motivation is the glory of being the deer killinist SOB around."
Again..you don't know that. Comparing himself to others doesn't support that, either.
That was DMav that said that, but he's probably right.

It has been mentioned that a certain CCGC member killed several deer over the TTIM total. Just has not been publicized.

It's never been mentioned because we don't like to brag bout it, but a certain member of the WAS shot 3 bucks this year with a total rack measurement of 510 inches! We just can't mention who because we don't wanna publicize it!
