Go in to New Haven on hwy 100 and follow the signs to the ramp. It is on the river next to the old downtown area. It is not the one you can see from Hwy 100.

I seriously thought about leaving Thursday and canoeing down there. One of these days I plan to canoe from KC all the way to New Madrid.

Did you guys hear about the Missouri River 340? It was an "ironman" type kayak race from KC to St. Charles that just finished a little over a week ago. The winner finished it in 53 hours. Many people didn't even finish. I provided some links about it- sounds pretty brutal. Image

The third link was from an "average Joe" that tried to keep up with the endurance kayakers and the Missery he went through. He only made it to Hermann.

Wimps. They should've done it from St. Charles to KC. Paddling downstream is for puzzies.

We will be out early Saturday and do a float or two to gather some fishys for the cook out. Mrs fish has volunteered to stay on the sand bar and guard our space/stuff while the rest of us goofs are out fishing or pretend to be anyway Image . For those of you what need a ride from the ramp PM me and I'll give you a cell # to call. She can then relay to those with boats. Couple of other things...rods an reels for later and PFD's if you got em.

What time do you plan to get there fish? I'm thinking I want to get there around 6. I picked up all the noodles(8) I could find at Wally Mart. Do you think bluegills would do any good? I was thinking of fishing for some on friday so they wouldnt be live but use them as cut bait.

6ish at the ramp sounds fine to me so lets count on that. On the bluegill, dunno w/ the jugs. Never used them, but they might work well with rod and reel later in the evening or if we don't catch any kitty fish we can always eat them Image Image Image
