Some members of the CCGC aren't talking about what it is that we have killed.

ODF, I lead a charmed life!
LS, long as we're count skeeters... add another 17 to the WAS tally.

I would almost bet you that I will hit more deer this year with an acorn or a rock than you will with an arrow Hobie.

I know I'll hit more with a rock or acorn than you will MoCraig. No need to bet you. No need to bet Hobie either.

Here's the skinny on the way it went down yesterday. Went huntin in the mornin. Saw 4 does early, no shot. Had a big young six pointer under my stand for about 30-40 minutes. That's gonna be a nice deer someday! Makes you appreciate the Regulation changes, cause as naive as the lil fella was somebody woulda definitley whacked his butt this year. Got outta the stand bout noon.
Wife had some stuff she wanted done round the house so decided not to go back out (not forced... just tryin to be a good husband). Bout 5:00 the wife sez, "why don't you go on and go huntin?" I was in the stand by 5:45. bout 6:30 same 6ptr shows up again. he hags round for another 30 min. 2 does join him. I pop the first doe to give me a shot. She was quartering away, got both lungs and heart. She fell bout 20-30 yards away... class is bout to begin, I'll finish later.

Not "forced" my donkey....is that why you waited for permission to go hunting?!!

Class is over... So as I was sayin, she drops bout 20-30 yards from the stand. Kicks a lil, and she's done. When I shot her the other two blew out. Bout 5 min later, here they both come back. I'm thinkin, if that other doe will give me a shot, I'm doublin. She never did. She hangs round for bout 15 minutes and finally decides the gig is up and takes off blowin. I don't know what finally got to her??!! THe 6 ptr, however, continues to hang round lookin for whatever it was that whacked his girlfriend. I don't want to educate him by letting him see me get outta the tree, so now I'm stuck. another 15 mins or so goes by, it's startin to get dark and I need to get down. Every time he looks away, I say sumthin like, "Hey deer!" or "Get!!" After bout 6 of these, he finally walks off like it's no big deal. The deer still had no idea I was even in the world. I get down and take all my gear out to the truck. On the way out, I run into another hunter on his way out. He asks if I had any luck. I tell him bout the doe. Hella nice guy, offers to help me drag the deer out. Get to the truck, puttin gear up, JimDog drives up. Tell'em bout the do, he offers to help. So the three of us drag her the 1/2 mile out(thanks again for the help Jim). Called TTTim up on the way home to tell him, he offers to help me skin and quarter her. Done with everything by 10:00 (thanks again, TTTim).
I'm tellin ya, good friends are a great thing to have around!

Yeah so ???
Good to hear your new bow can kill slicks. I did that with my Pearson 45# recurve with Bodkin points(look them up, rookies)about 30yrs ago. Ain't nothin to killin a doe an you will never know about the 160" that was a 100 yds behind it.
Meathooks, God forgive em.
Show me the horns.
