Greenhead gear dekes

Post by Hunter91 » October 10th, 2004, 11:49 pm

Anybody try any of these? I picked up some Gadwall decoys in this brand. Looked pretty lifelike.

I bought 3 doz mallards when Cabela's had 'em on for $20 a doz. I'm not real sure I like the low head position, but they should mix in with the other dekes, once they get muddy and shot up a little! Image
I'm re-rigging everything with the tanglefree line this year. I hope it doesn't suck.

So Bullitt tell me more about the low head position and then tell me what it has to do with the price of beans.

I like that tanglefree line. I have found out though it seems to only last two to three years before you start having breakage and losing some anchors and an occasional deke.

Bullitt you talkin bout the "hot buys" dekes or the greenhead gear dekes? I bought 3 dozen of those "hot buys" dekes and they are cheap as hell! Dekes ain't got no necks! But for the $18/dozen I paid for'em, if they last one season they'll be worth it.

Those cheapies will cut it if you're planning to put 'em out,and leave 'em out.

Try tossing them into a decoy bag a couple of dozen times. At that point, you'll be needing to stop on the way home for paint. Image

Zactly. I don't remember how many dozens we bought for the Crackhouse last year. The ice didn't tear 'em up too bad,and they had an easy spring and summer in my garage. Image

They will be there to witness the carnage for another year. Image

I'll see how much of a bargain they were if they last the season.
BTW, anyone seeing cheap robos coming out of Arkieland? I figured they would have a robo in every pot by now.
