Got home from a hard day of duck huntin with TTT last night. What a day! Met up at 5:00am. Had a few mishaps, nothin we couldn't overcome, but they kept us from gettin out on the water until 10:00am or so. Hunted one area with only one shot fired between us, til bout 2:00pm. Decided the day was a bust and we oughta head home, we were both over due as it was. On the way out we see a sandbar COVERED with ducks. We decide what the hell, we'll give it an hour or so. Set-up there and before we could get the decoys out, we had ducks tryin to come-in. From then on, we had ducks. Our shootin wasn't the best (actually it was piss poor), so we ended up stayin alot longet than we expected. Got off the water at dark. We both know we are gonna catch hell, so we start callin home. My wife lays into my on the phone, which I expect. I get home bout 7:00pm, get a little tongue lashing but nothing near what I was thinking I was gonna get. I clean some ducks, come back in and am washin my hands and my 2 1/2 yr old son come walkin up to me holdin up a gift bag and says, "Merry Christmas Daddy." I say, "What is this, it's not Christmas yet?? Who is this from?" My wife says, "It must be from Santa." I sit down on the couch and begin unwrapping. Inside I find a positive EPT tester. I look at my wife, and she is just grinnin from ear to ear. Looks like there will be a new addition to the hobiecat Family!!!

Congrats Hobie. Best wishes for a safe and healthy term for you and the misses . Now that is a Christmas present, but you'd better duck hunt you off this year, because next year may be a different story!!!

Congrats !!!! That means she'll be due around August. Too hot too hunt or fish.

Altonite, I'd like to say I planned it that way, but I can't. Just lucky I guess.

Also, never to hot to fish, just time to wade fish in the river rather than canoe it .
