Got off work at 7am so I's just a tad bit tired and probably wasn't thinking straight when I said to the wife "lets go fishin'" when I got home after trappin' some minnows
. Put in at Beaver and started below the first bend and worked my way up to around that bend. Only caught one 12" largemouth on a minnow tipped jig draggin' behind the boat. Decided to run up to just below the Johnson hole and work the rock bank back down to the mud bank. Started out jerkin' but something told me to spinnerbait it. Tied on a double willow leaf cooper/silver spinner and caught a 14" largemouth on the third cast out of a fall down slow rollin' parallelin' the bank. About another 200 yds down the bank had something about rip the rod out of my hand as I pulled the S-bait over a submerged log. Wasn't able to get a good enough hook set in it before it turned and threw the hook 
. That was the last hit I had for the day. Did a little more jerkin' and crankin' without any success. Only spent 3 hours on the water so wasn't too bad of a day. Still a beautiful day to be on the water with the light wind. Lots of debris in the water down that way, just fyi. Talked to some friends that were fishing Beaver and they had 3 decent sized males in the 3 hours they fished. Didn't see anyone else catch anything while we were there, of course it was the middle of the day too.
